Assignment 5.1 Understand the requirements of working to a brief

Structure Of Briefs Introduction In this assignment i am going to be briefly discussing about the different types of briefs and their purposes within the media industry as well as how key people and key organisations work whilst been given a specific brief. Contractual Brief A contractual brief is a legal guaranteed form normally to do with, employment, sales or tenancy between the employer and the employee. It usually outlines the duties and guidelines the employee must follow whilst on the job. It is very vital that the employee follows the expectations on the brief as he/she has signed before being employed. If the employee does breach the rules and regulations on the contract they are likely to get sacked and/or worse case scenario taken to court for their specific actions. The positive thing about a contractual brief is that it sets goals and boundaries for the employee, for example, if the employee wants to be a school teacher there would be a code of conduct saying "y...

Evaluation

1. I think my audience's expectation would be something that catches their attention to the eye. They would expect to see a plot that encourages adrenaline which would spark the "action" to progress in the film. Commonly in an action films my audience would love to see popular stars name on the billing block before they watch the movie because it gives them a brief idea of how this movie could be like if they watch it. For example, they would base my movie on the way that actor has given a certain amount of energy to previous movies and it would encourage/discourage the audience to watch my film. In addition to that, I have included a lot of big stars to my movie so i have no doubt that my audience would be discouraged to watch my film. 2. The emotional response i would love to receive from my target audience is excitement because my movie will contain "ooh ahh" scenes and unrealistic events happening but at the same time i wouldn't want to encourage my vie...

Proposal & Pitch (For Film)

I believe that my film poster strongly targets my audience because it includes pictures of a few of the stars which shows them looking straight directly at you. The background image especially with Megan Fox, i feel like this strongly targets the audience because it would encourage them to look more into the poster or even want to watch the film itself. The use of adding cars to the poster also targets my audience to give them an idea of what exactly this film is going to be about. The use of Kevin Spacey is very unique and also different to the rest of the characters on the poster because he is along the main characters but then again he isn't on their side since he is the villain. Comparing Kevin Spacey to other films such as Swimming With Sharks, Superman Returns & Horrible Bosses, he is always associated with the villain role and this could lead to the people viewing the poster knowing that Kevin Spacey is the villain in this film. I've decided to use a dark lighting as...

The Plan

1. Title: Too Brisk, Too Quick Tagline:  Be Strong, Be Fast. Period. Synopsis: A surprise low-key continuation from Fast & Furious 7, a whole new crew of racers come together to bring the next international threat down from obtaining the world's most powerful power source all the way down in Florida. The group of racers have no time to bond as much as they have a big job to complete in a matter of days. In order to bring this bad guy down the crew are given super-cars, which are supplied by their General who has been trying to bring this villain down for years, however, the villain owns an inde structible super-car which makes it harder for the team to bring down. The crew would pursuit this guy through 4 of the U.S's big states till he makes his final destination in Florida where he locates this power source. But would the team stop this guy from obtaining it. The crew are going to put enough teamwork in if they want to bring down the International threat and his he...

Initial Report

Introduction My film concept is a sequel to the famous film franchise "Fast & Furious" continuing from the 7th movie (despite the release of the 8th movie). My final plan for this film has came to a conclusion and modified from the film concept given in the surveys. This sequel is going to have a whole lot of different characters. This movie would be set in the U.S's 4 famous states. In these states are going to a street race and also a major dilemma which is created by the villain and his henchmen whom are trying to pursue a precious jewel all the way in Florida. The only people that could bring the villains down are the 8 heroes/racers. The genre of this film is Action with the sub-genres of drama and Racing. Fast & Furious 7 was set in various locations in America and also in Dubai too. The genre for this film is Action & Drama. Producer The producer of my film is myself, and a producer takes care of the content of the movie itself, such as choosing th...

Survey For Film

Darris Survey Film Concept My concept of this film is going to be a sequel to the famous film franchise "Fast & Furious" continuing from "Fast & Furious 7" but it is going to be an original film overall with a whole set of different characters. Mentioning these states there are going to be villains bringing down the main crew and where some street races are going to happen too. The genre of this film is Action with the sub-genres of Drama and Racing. Research Of Own Film

Name Of Film: Too Brisk, Too Quick The idea i have for making this film is a sequel of a group of people racing and also it will involve action too (bringing down villains and enemies). I hope to base my film on the famous "Fast And Furious" franchise as it is such an eye popping film and it is very interesting. Production Companies Orignal Film Relativity Media One Race Films Media Rights Capital Perfect World Pictures EuropaCorp TF1 Films Production Genre Of Film I am going to make a movie based on racing but also an involvement of Action & Drama too. The reason why i am including sub-genres is because a movie with just cars and racing could potentially become boring to most of the viewers and to avoid this from happening is by adding different scenes in to add excitement and stimulate more adrenaline through the viewer. Also by adding more genres to this film would help the film have more of a meaning to why it was made other than just cars racing for...

Budget + Processes Questions

QUESTIONS 1  What factors make up the budget for a radio advertisement campaign ?        Explain in your own words.  The factors that make up the budget are the music royalties, voice over artist fees and scheduling and billing. This basically makes up the budget because each single one is involving somebody getting paid to make this advert happen. for example, music royalties is using somebody else's song and this would lead to payments being involved, voice over artist fees is paying the artist who voiced over your advertisement and scheduling and billing is where your paying a high or low amount depending on where your advertisement is being played in the daytime or night time (graveyard slot) 2   What is a music bed , and what are the three types ? Explain in your own words. A music bed is music being played in the background of the speech going on in the advert. For example, the three types are Live recorded mus...

Evaluation Of Radio Advert

At the end of making my radio advert it all was a dream come true but I had doubts that it wasn't good enough the way I planned it in and imagined it in my head. I felt the advert sounded great but could be better, like the way I recorded the voice overs, they could of been edited to make it sound much more clearer as if I actually recorded this thing for an actual radio station to broadcast out. I also felt like I could of used a better bed or range of different beds to signify the difference between the ups and downs of the information being provided throughout the advert. Nevertheless, the sound effects I used in my advert never clashed with the background bed I used and this was an amazing achievement for me meaning I had less to worry about in order of putting this advert together. It was also tricky to find a strong enough sound effect (Thunder Struck) to represent a real life sound to resemble fear/excitement to my product idea. The main reason for the use of the thunder st...

Treatment Plan ~ Radio Advert

Verosícardi / WiFi Broadband. My radio ad is about a  wifi broadband and about its super quality features for a good price and this product is also going to be a national business so that i could get more income and attention than just streaming my advertisement locally.                                                                       Purpose of campaign The main purpose of campaigning my very own wifi broadband is because it includes very important information and it needs to be  broadcasted  to million people as the product has new and powerful software coming to wifi routers in the upcoming years and hopefully if i get the success of my product nationwide,  then  i would decide to take it further globally.  Unique Selling Point The product i am pitching is...
