Treatment Plan ~ Radio Advert

Verosícardi/ WiFi Broadband.
My radio ad is about a wifi broadband and about its super quality features for a good price and this product is also going to be a national business so that i could get more income and attention than just streaming my advertisement locally.

Purpose of campaign
The main purpose of campaigning my very own wifi broadband is because it includes very important information and it needs to be broadcasted to million people as the product has new and powerful software coming to wifi routers in the upcoming years and hopefully if i get the success of my product nationwide, then i would decide to take it further globally.

Unique Selling Point
The product i am pitching is going to have the latest technology yet, 6G internet connection for ultra-fast surfing and gaming, power-saving modem, remote control with your smart phone (switch router on/off) all for the price of £25 per month

Placement

I would want the advertisement to play on BBC Radio 2 because they have the most amount of listeners on the station and these listeners could do with a device as powerful as mine and also tell more of their friends that doesn't listen to that particular radio station and get more customers and the whole nation will definitely be on purchasing my product.
My ideal target audience are adults that get good income and this could apply to young adults too if they have a well paid part time job so that it also benefits my trademark's income too. I would prefer my advertisement to be played during day time as thats the most popular time where a lot of people will be awake and have the radio on but the disadvantages of it being on daytime is that most people talk over the radio especially when the advertisements are on as the listeners are more interested about the music, but to overcome this situation this advertisement needs to be catchy as if a song is about to play on the radio and also make it engage the two target audiences, adults and young adults.

Production Roles
The radio commercials producer job is to write scripts, generate and pitch ideas or even work with script writers. They often cast actors and also choose the music for the commercial they are pitching to the listeners. The broadcast assistant's role is to offer practical support to the presenters and producers. They often carry out a wide range of key administrative tasks to make sure the radio show runs smoothly and may also help with research and live recording and planning the shows. A voice actors role is to act his/her appointed role directed by the radio commercials producer in a specific way. Finally the radio traffic manager are responsible for scheduling advertising and promotions in line with the station's business strategy, aiming to maximise revenue. They run teams, the purpose of which is to schedule commercial airtime and station promotions.

Budget
For budget i'm looking to spend £1,500 a week to get my advertisement streamed on the radio. The reason why it's that amount a week is because I aimed for the most listened to radio station (BBC RADIO 2). In addition Im planning to use a female voice over actor, but she is a normal media student so I wouldn't need to pay her any funds.

Music Royalties
I have used the instrumental of the soundtrack "Cookie Jar" and this song is copyright protected by Gym Class Heroes. As I'm using this for educational purposes I do not owe no fees to the owner of this song, whereas if i am using the track to release it to the public then i will need to ask for permission and pay outstanding fees to the owners.

Evaluation

My final production resulted to something different to what I had planned. The order of shots and scenes were placed in a different order opposing to the suggesting storyboard. This was mainly because one of the actors was not able to make it in on the desired shooting day and it lead to me making a few last minute arrangements. The beginning of my project was to start with a flashback scene of me mixing songs as it shows what I do in my free time. The reason why I couldn't film it and include it in my video was because I didn't have a tripod at the time to place behind me and capture me actually mixing the songs in real time. As this was a problem, I decided to make an introduction with myself rapping a part of my song to the camera in selfie-mode. Despite the fact that I had to rearrange a few scenes and include new ones, the whole production didn't come out badder than I thought. I managed to fit in close-ups, mid-range shots and also a established shots too. Establish...

Evaluation Of Radio Advert

At the end of making my radio advert it all was a dream come true but I had doubts that it wasn't good enough the way I planned it in and imagined it in my head. I felt the advert sounded great but could be better, like the way I recorded the voice overs, they could of been edited to make it sound much more clearer as if I actually recorded this thing for an actual radio station to broadcast out. I also felt like I could of used a better bed or range of different beds to signify the difference between the ups and downs of the information being provided throughout the advert. Nevertheless, the sound effects I used in my advert never clashed with the background bed I used and this was an amazing achievement for me meaning I had less to worry about in order of putting this advert together. It was also tricky to find a strong enough sound effect (Thunder Struck) to represent a real life sound to resemble fear/excitement to my product idea. The main reason for the use of the thunder st...

Initial Ideas, Log Book, ETC.

1. Initial Ideas My idea for my own single camera production is to make a selfie-styled documentary about a song/songs I've previously made and possibly record some further bits of a song that is already in the making. I could also include other hobbies such as my passion for radio presenting/producing and also performing too. I have some pre-recorded footage that I could include as my single camera production is a Documentary. I want there to be a range of key camera shots and angles, such as close-ups, mid-range, bird's eye and eye-level. Eye-level angle is going to be the key angle for my production as various scenes may contain people holding their phones to their face and talking about how they have contributed to the song/s. As I've got a 5 minute limit for my single camera production, I need to include key scenes as well as the angles I require them to be in. 95% of the footage is going to be filmed in college whilst the other 5% is going to be done at home as ...
