Research Of Own Film

Name Of Film: Too Brisk, Too Quick

The idea i have for making this film is a sequel of a group of people racing and also it will involve action too (bringing down villains and enemies). I hope to base my film on the famous "Fast And Furious" franchise as it is such an eye popping film and it is very interesting.

Production Companies
  • Orignal Film
  • Relativity Media
  • One Race Films
  • Media Rights Capital
  • Perfect World Pictures
  • EuropaCorp
  • TF1 Films Production

Genre Of Film
I am going to make a movie based on racing but also an involvement of Action & Drama too. The reason why i am including sub-genres is because a movie with just cars and racing could potentially become boring to most of the viewers and to avoid this from happening is by adding different scenes in to add excitement and stimulate more adrenaline through the viewer. Also by adding more genres to this film would help the film have more of a meaning to why it was made other than just cars racing for the fun of it.

Similar films/films i'm going to be working with
films that are similar to my idea is "Fast & Furious", "The Transporter", "Taxi" & "Rush (2013)" the films i would like to work with are "Fast & Furious" & "The Transporter". I would use the elements of team work and competitive racing from "Fast & Furious" while i would use the action from "The Transporter" to bring my movie to life and different to "The Fast & Furious" franchise.

Marketing Strategies
I plan on advertising my film on every source of platform but the most suitable and comfortable option would be social media as nowadays a lot of people are on their phones much of the times and they wont really pay attention to other things unless they don't have a phone. For those who don't use or have a smart phone, my second preferred marketing strategy would be to put it on posters. This is because posters are big and colourful and will attract people to see this poster and then it will encourage them to read more into it. This is more of a marketing strategy to gain elderly people that are into action movies but then again haven't got access to a smart phone.

Film Distributors
The film distributer for the "Fast And Furious" is Universal Pictures whilst "The Transporter" was distributed by 20th Century Fox. Me personally i think these are one of the two biggest American companies to ever get films in the society today and also the revenue worth are $3-$4 billion each for both of them and this could really get my film shown out there if i choose one of the worlds top film companies

Box Office Figures
For the "Fast And Furious" franchise the box office figures were $3.9 Billion and "The Transporter" was $43.9 Million. With my film as it is going to be a sequel of "Fast And Furious 7" with a whole different cast list to the previous film, i wouldn't mind earning a box office figure lower than $1.516 Billion (Fast & Furious 7) or $43.9 Million (The Transporter) because I've used different characters and it might be a put off to audiences but at the same time it doesn't necessarily mean that i have to spend so much on the budget when it comes to making this film come to life

Stars
Stars I would want to use are going to be famous ones because most people that would watch a film would mostly be interested in the actors that will star in a film; the likely actors i'm thinking off are Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Tyrese Gibson, Zoe Saldana, Megan Fox, Jeniffer Lopez and Halle Berry. These would be the 8 main characters that would be a team to help each other bring down the villain/s in their state/whole of America.

Task 2: Styles, Conventions & Techniques Of Music Videos

Styles, Conventions & Techniques Of Music Videos Everything produced in media has codes and conventions and music videos are no exception. A code or convention is like a guideline of rules that music videos often follow that are always dependable on genre or style. The main conventions for music videos relate to camera shots and angles, editing, lyric interpretation, extending or consolidating songs meanings and allusion. Lyric Interpretation - lyrics being shown as a music video and this catches the audiences attention and it could make them sing along or even understand what the song is about. (Lyrical Video from The Chainsmokers - Closer) Extending or consolidating   - Extending or consolidating a song's meaning in a music video is when you use symbolism and things in the mis-en-scene to further push the meaning of the song or to add more of a meaning to a song or to just bring the lyrics together into a visual explanation of what the song actu...

29.1 Understanding the purposes of music videos

Purposes of Music Videos Music videos have a purpose and they have a variety of meanings according to the genre of the song too. Some music videos are created to promote the artist, promote the record label, the album or even the song itself. In my report I'm going to talk about how 6 different music videos have 6 different purposes in the industry today. Promotion of an artist's album Promotion of an artist's album can occur through their own record company, a YouTube account or even the song itself being released in to mainstream radio or performed at live events. Normally this would happen before the artist releases the track/album to let the give the fans a warning to was out for their song which is going to come out.  Adele - Hello   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQHsXMglC9A The first song I chose is one of my favourites and most powerful songs out since the closing of 2015. Yes the song is called 'Hello' performed by the almighty Adele and the ...

Evaluation Of Radio Advert

At the end of making my radio advert it all was a dream come true but I had doubts that it wasn't good enough the way I planned it in and imagined it in my head. I felt the advert sounded great but could be better, like the way I recorded the voice overs, they could of been edited to make it sound much more clearer as if I actually recorded this thing for an actual radio station to broadcast out. I also felt like I could of used a better bed or range of different beds to signify the difference between the ups and downs of the information being provided throughout the advert. Nevertheless, the sound effects I used in my advert never clashed with the background bed I used and this was an amazing achievement for me meaning I had less to worry about in order of putting this advert together. It was also tricky to find a strong enough sound effect (Thunder Struck) to represent a real life sound to resemble fear/excitement to my product idea. The main reason for the use of the thunder st...
